       Одним з пріоритетних напрямів патріотичного виховання молоді є краєзнавство, яке ґрунтується на принципах гуманізації , democratization, systematicity, scientificity and culture. The content of regional studies is formed around such basic factors as nature, history, and the social sphere, which have territorial unity within the boundaries of small administrative units. The modern public interest in the problems of local history contributes to the awareness  that love for the Motherland, feelings of patriotism, responsibility for its fate are formed from childhood.

The school library, as a mandatory structural unit of the institution of general secondary education and an important component of its educational space, occupies an important place in the system of local history work. It contributes to the spiritual and ethical education of young people, since, by attracting young people to reading, it provides for the preservation of spiritual heritage, a careful attitude to the Motherland, including the "small" one. Local history events are aimed at fostering respect for books, forming national consciousness, love for the native land, and passing on the heritage of our people to the younger generation.

       Серед різноманітних форм роботи шкільної бібліотеки, які сприяють забезпеченню духовності особистості завдяки засвоєнню надбань the culture of the native land, the education of patriotic feelings, pride for one's land, respectful attitude to history and traditions in schoolchildren, the following events were held: Book exhibition "Trails of the native land",  photo contest "Wonderful land - wonderful beauties", local lore ecological hour "I take care of your nature, because you are the only one in me, the earth", day of local lore literature "Native land is covered with fairy tales and legends", conversations "Family history - the history of our people", "Native land - my pride" , a survey smiley "What is local history", bibliography day, an information fence was created.
